JESSE BUCK

Las Vegas native. Blue-collar backbone. Digital strategist. The rare operator who has worked every rung of the ladder and built bridges between all of them.

"We move quiet. We hit hard. That's Ghost & Steele."
From cracked hands to corporate boardrooms. We've been there.
Origins

Las Vegas isn't where I'm from.
It's what I'm made of.

I didn't just grow up in Las Vegas. My family helped build it. Four generations deep, our roots in this city run longer and harder than most. This isn't a marketing angle. It's who I am.

Understanding where you come from shapes how you see everything: business, people, opportunity, and obligation. That foundation is the bedrock of everything I do at Ghost & Steele.

Legacy

Standing on the shoulders of legends.

I was raised by a man who defined what it meant to stand on principle in a city that didn't always reward that choice. His story, and the lessons embedded in it, are woven into everything I do.

The Chief
My Grandfather · Chief of Police · Las Vegas Original

My grandfather was a Las Vegas legend in the truest sense. He served as Chief of Police and rose to oversee one of the most powerful industries in the world. He stood at Elvis Presley's side as his bodyguard and ran in the circles of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, the most-seen men on earth, in a city built on being seen. He wasn't just present at the birth of modern Las Vegas. He helped shape it.

Powerful people wanted him gone. They sent threats. They blew up his car. He didn't move an inch. That's the man who raised me. Standing solid while the whole world watches isn't something I had to learn. It runs in my blood. My grandfather kept legends visible. I do the same thing for the businesses I serve.

The Mayor
Former Mayor of Las Vegas

There's a beautiful irony in the story of my grandfather and my good friend, Mayor Oscar. One spent his career defending the city's most notorious figures in court. The other spent his fielding their threats as a lawman. Both became legends. Both earned the respect of everyone around them. And both taught me that integrity, however you define it in your arena, is non-negotiable.

My years working close to the Mayor and the political world of Las Vegas gave me an insider's understanding of how power, people, and public service actually work. That's the lens I bring to every business I serve.

The Grind

I know what it costs to build something.

Before there was a strategy deck or a digital campaign, there was sweat. Real, earned, back-breaking sweat.

I've worked construction in Las Vegas in 120-degree heat, the kind of heat that bends the air and tests whether you actually want it. And I've worked in the oil and gas fields of the Badlands of North Dakota, where the temperature drops to −40°F (−60°F with windchill), where the winters are so brutal they filter out everyone who doesn't belong.

A desert boy who moved to the coldest corner of America. I did both. I worked with my hands, managed costs down to the penny, and watched what it takes to grow a company when every dollar matters and your body is keeping score.

"I know what it's like to try to build a business with a broken back and cracked hands: cutting every cost, watching every dollar, and still showing up the next day."
Jesse Buck, Founder, Ghost & Steele

That experience is irreplaceable. It's why blue-collar business owners trust me. I'm not theorizing about their world. I've lived it.

The Strategy

Corporate fluency. Street-level instinct.

Growing up in the digital age gave me a native fluency that most consultants of my generation had to learn after the fact. I built on that foundation with years inside the corporate world, including work with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) in International Marketing, where I learned how world-class brands are built, positioned, and scaled on a global stage.

I know what C-suite executives are looking for. I know exactly where organizations are overpaying and underperforming. I speak the language of the boardroom, and I know when to switch languages entirely.

I've worked with politicians, public servants, and officials throughout my career, navigating the intersection of public life and business with discretion and effectiveness. I understand the ecosystems that most consultants only read about.

And just as importantly: I've built the digital infrastructure for blue-collar businesses, helping tradespeople, contractors, and operators compete in a world that keeps changing the rules. I know how to scale. From a one-truck operation to a multi-location enterprise, I've helped businesses find their footing and grow with intention.

The Approach

I listen first. Always.

The best strategies come from understanding, not assumptions. From the very first consultation, my job is to hear you. Your goals, your constraints, your language, your pace.

Whether you're a baby boomer who types with two fingers or a tech wizard who speaks in acronyms, I meet you where you are. No condescension. No jargon you didn't ask for. Just clear, honest communication and a plan that actually fits your world.

01

Listen First

Every engagement starts with real listening: understanding your business, your people, and your goals before anything else.

02

Speak Your Language

C-suite or crew cab, I adjust. Clarity is non-negotiable, and I never make you feel behind the curve.

03

Build for Scale

Digital marketing, PR, AI integration: every solution is built with growth in mind, not just quick wins.

04

Stay Principled

The Chief taught me that. Results matter, but how you get them matters more.
